A Residency Fellowship & NYC SOlo Exhibition

FIELD PROJECTS x IN SITU POLYCULTURE COMMONS

Since 2025, our residency project has evolved into a partner Fellowship between Field Projects and In Situ Polyculture Commons (ISPC) - an arts residency and eco-cultural catalyst in Southeastern Vermont.

The Field Residency Fellowship begins as a 2-3 week summer residency at ISPC’s property, and culminates in a solo exhibition in early Fall at our gallery in Chelsea, NY. Both individual artists or a collaborative group of up to 4 people are welcomed, with a stipend of $1500 to be used as the artist(s) sees fit.

FP & ISPC are two artist-run organizations who have created a fellowship opportunity that we would want, and that helps each of us further our missions to platform artists making and doing important creative work for our times.

2025 Fellows

VL4E was formed in 2024 by artists Mariana Parisca, Luis Vasquez La Roche, and bryan ortiz. Longtime collaborators, the trio has previously worked together on curatorial projects, exhibitions, and zines that highlight art and writing rooted in the experiences of people from Asian, Caribbean, and Latin American diasporas.

Mariana Parisca is an interdisciplinary visual artist and educator from the USA and Venezuela, currently based in CDMX. Luis Vasquez La Roche is a visual artist who resides between Trinidad and Tobago and Virginia. They are an Assistant Professor in the Department of Art at George Mason University in Northern Virginia. Parisca and Vasquez La Roche both earned their MFAs from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA, in 2020. bryan ortiz is an artist based in Fayetteville, Arkansas with roots in Southern California and Central/ Southern Mexico. ortiz received his MFA from The Ohio State University in 2021 and most recently served as the Assistant Director of Visible Records, an artist-run space in Charlottesville, VA.
