Field Magazine Issue 3
$10.00
The second issue of Field magazine features extensive interviews, artist projects, comics and an essay exploring the embodied world of science fiction. Artist projects by Marcus Zilliox and Tlisza Juarique examine aspects of indigenousness, concrete poetry, gang typography, death, and ecstatic glitter. The issue presents a portfolio of photographic portraits from Tiffany Smith's recent project, For Tropical Girls Who Have Considered Ethnogenesis When the Native Sun is Remote. Rachel Steinberg's essay is one of the first critical engagements with the work of new media artist Amanda Turner Pohan. Jen Schwarting conducts interviews with artists Sahana Ramakrishnan and Loren Britton, discussing the historical, material, and conceptual bases of their respective Fall 2017 solo shows. Rounding out the issue are the cartoons of Chicago-based artist Jessica Campbell.
The inaugural issue features in-depth interviews with Brooklyn-based artists Rachel Frank and Karen Lederer.
