Field Project presents “   ” “    ” “        I      see          time, hopefully     ” “     we will    ” “       ,     ,   ” “       you     ” “      ” “    ,   ,     ” “   ”, a solo exhibition/event by Emiri Fujimoto.

Emiri walked into Field Project around 3pm on Friday, July 3, 2026. Jacob was finishing a video call with T. R was here too. J has a black nail sticker on, we chat about that, then E told J about the show she had in mind. Michael Asher’s studio class was brought up as well as R was throwing a sponge (?) into the sink. We cheered. This is the beginning of the press release, now it is 3:48pm, the finished press release will be released at the closing event. J gave me the gallery key with a red tag says “FP”. It is on the table right now. (And yes J read everything out loud just now, 3:54 pm).

Emiri Fujimoto makes sculptures and installations that revolve around performative action and site responsiveness. She is thinking about which souvenir is chosen before the exit, locating her work in moments of a celebratory cake sits in an empty room, whenever A.G. Cook’s Beautiful (2023 edit) is playing: “Baby, when you look at me, you know that I'll be here forever. Baby, when I look at you, I know that we'll be here together. Baby, when you look at me, you know that I'll be here forever. Baby, when I look at you, I know that we'll be here together. Together, together, together, together, together, together, together, together, together, together, together, together, together…”, and a fading blush. Emiri received her BFA from the School of Visual Arts (2022) and an MFA in Sculpture from Cranbrook Academy of Art (2025). She currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
